Your data, your call.

We collect only what's needed to make the product work, and we tell you exactly what that is. No silent tracking, no data brokers.

What we collect

When you use byetell, we collect the minimum needed to process your recharges, bill payments, and transfers:

  • Your mobile number, used to sign in and identify your account
  • Transaction details: operator, amount, biller, timestamp
  • Device information limited to app version and OS, used for debugging

What we don't collect

  • We do not sell your data to third parties. Ever.
  • We do not use ad-tracking SDKs or fingerprinting
  • We do not read or store your SMS unless you explicitly grant OTP auto-read
  • We do not access your contacts

How we use it

Your data is used to complete the payments you ask us to make, show you your own history, and comply with applicable RBI and tax regulations. That's it.

Where it lives

Data is stored on servers located in India. We use industry-standard encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). Access is limited to engineers on call, audited, and logged.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account at any time by writing to privacy@byetell.online. We respond within 30 days.
